An Insider’s Look at U.S. Leadership
Where tension meets tactics
Decisions, Discord & Diplomacy offers a rare insider’s look at U.S. leadership during one of the most turbulent periods in modern history. Drawing on more than 40 years of naval service, including commanding U.S. Central Command during the Iraq “Surge” and the war in Afghanistan, Admiral Fallon provides a candid, firsthand account of decision-making at the crossroads of war, policy, and diplomacy.
From the Pentagon on 9/11 to leading vast forces across the Pacific and Middle East, his perspective reveals the human dimension of power, the competing agendas, unseen influences, and hard choices that shape history. Both personal and analytical, this book explores how leadership, knowledge, and character impact outcomes that still resonate on the world stage today.

Background
Moved by their visits with wounded service members at Walter Reed and Bethesda military hospitals, retired U.S. Navy EOD Master Chief Petty Officer Ken Falke and his wife Julia founded Boulder Crest in 2010 to do more for those who serve. What began as a place for military family rest and reconnection has grown into a national nonprofit pioneering Posttraumatic Growth (PTG)-based training for times of struggle, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicidality. Their peer-delivered, non-pharmacological programs — Warrior PATHH & Struggle Well — train service members, veterans, and first responders to remake struggle into strength. Since its founding, Boulder Crest has transformed more than 170,000 lives. To learn more about Boulder Crest and their life changing programs, click here.
